The Town of Fairplay Building Department requires all contractors to have an appropriate contractor license, issued by Park County, to contract for construction work within the Town.
Town of Fairplay also requires that excavation contractors, roofing contractors and mechanical contractors carry a Park County Contractor License.

Plumbing and Electrical Contractors
Plumbing and Electrical Contractors must hold a valid license issued by State of Colorado (DORA) to complete any plumbing or electrical work or contract within Town Limits.
Business License
In addition to a contractor's license, Town of Fairplay requires all businesses doing construction work in the Town hold a Town of Fairplay Business License.
Homeowner Contractors
Homeowners are able to complete work on their residence without first obtaining a Contractor's License. The home must be the primary residence and any sub-contractors hired by the homeowner must have a Park County Contractor's License. Commercial property owners are not permitted to complete work on the building without a Contractor's License.
